CANADAIR F86 Sabre, 1/48th Scale
The subject is one of Eric Hartmann's F86 Sabres from an old Monogram kit featuring a green/sea-grey camouflage scheme. After further research I found images of his bare-aluminum mount and made a few adjustments regarding markings. A combination of 'SnJ' Spray metal paint, and aluminum foil guilding with a water-based guilding size was used on different panels for some variation.
This kit sustained some damage during a move. Re-attahing the landing gear will require some drilling and re-enforcement.
I may experiment further with a clear acryllic gloss, further shading, washes, panel work and detailing throughout.
